Lisa has been working over thirty years in massage and body-work. 

 

 

2001-Present    Operating her practice as Intense Therapy, LLC from offices at 617 E. Bidwell  St., Folsom, Ca.

                                        

1996-2001  -     Operated her practice in Vallejo, California as "Lisa's Therapeutic Massage" while also working as an independent contractor to B & C Massage in Concord, Ca. and also working for Mt. Diablo Health Care.

 

1990-2001  -     Lisa worked as a Home Health Aide and Certified Nurses Assistant while also maintaining her skills in massage and bodywork.

 

1977-1990  -     Maintained her skills in massage teaching others the balanced basic knowledge and skills needed to provide quality therapeutic massage in a relaxed atmosphere.

 

1974-1977  -     Lisa worked in the medical massage industry in Japan for thee years after passing her national license exams then in October 1977 moved to the USA.

 

1972-1974  -   Attended school at Shonan College in Japan for 2396 hours (over 2 years).

 

Lisa receives referrals from doctors, chiropractors, clients, and doctor's patients.  She has clients who come from as far away as Salinas, Ca. , Lincoln, Ca., and Grass Valley, Ca. for treatment.

 

 

Certified Medical Massage Therapist-  Treatment of Cervical Spine, Lumbar Spine, Thoracic Spine, and Upper Extremities - took courses in March 2003 and October 2003, total of 32 CEU hours, Passed exams in October 2004.

 

Myofascial Mobilization, 12 CEU hours, September 2004 - 12 hour course in theory, practice and clinical application of Myofascial Mobilization Techniques -  Myofascial Release Treatment Centers & Seminars, NCBTMB #02581-00, John F. Barnes, PT

 

Soft Tissue Release - Completed a 20 hour workshop with Stuart Taws.  Training included treatment of Low Back Pain (LBP), Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS), and Whiplash.   Healing Arts Institute, 20 CEU hours, October 2002

 

Myoskeletal Alignment -  successfully completed a 22 hour course earning 20 CEU's in theory, practice and clinical application of Erik Dalton's Myoskeletal Techniques and 2 CEU's in Ethics.   Freedom From Pain Institute, NCBTMB #157429, 22 CEU hours, November 17, 2001

 

Myofascial Mobilization - Attended educational sessions  at the 25th Annual OTAC Conference in Sacramento, CA.  with John Barnes, PT. - OTAC Conference Program, 8 CEU hours, 13 October 2001

As a ABMP Certified member she  has attained ABMP’s most stringent membership requirements, including a commitment to lifelong learning and maintain a practice with the highest standards of professional conduct and strictly adhere to the ABMP Code of Ethics.

 

 

As a USMMA member she has trained in clinical and medical massage therapy techniques to aid patients under the supervision of a doctor, following the care plan as directed by the patient's doctor.
